I lived in Birmingham for about 30 years (with working in Holland and then Greece squeezed in) and I haven't moved too far but it's still my 'home home' even though my parents have now moved away and the area I grew up has given itself up to the student population where I loved working and drinking in the student bars while I was art college.
The old Brutalist Library in Victoria Square was an integral part of me growing up, That whole area was brilliant to chill out in, study in or walk through to Broad Street. This series of photographs and digital art pieces are my homage to how Victoria Square looked to me and my peers and hopefully allow people to remember it in a more attractive light as the new development takes shape.
